Security Guard Software
for Oklahoma City Companies
CGuardPro is security guard management software for guard companies running posts in Oklahoma City, Edmond, Norman, Moore and Midwest City: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, with a 7-day free trial. Oklahoma licenses every guard through CLEET, so an OKC company tracks 40 or 72 training hours, a three-year guard license and a 45-day start-up window per officer.
What does guard work in Oklahoma City look like?
Tinker and the contractors
Tinker Air Force Base anchors aerospace maintenance and defense contractors in Midwest City and the southeast side, whose offices and warehouses want access logs and documented rounds.
Energy towers downtown
Oil and gas company headquarters keep downtown lobby desks, parking garages and executive floors staffed, while their field sites spread across the state.
Capitol and state agencies
The State Capitol complex and agency offices bring public-sector posts with their own reporting expectations.
Bricktown and the arena
Paycom Center, the ballpark and the Bricktown entertainment district add event nights, bar-district crowds and parking posts.
Crossroads distribution
I-35, I-40 and I-44 meet here, and distribution buildings along them need yard tours and gate logs overnight.
Storm season
Spring severe weather can close roads and knock out power at a site. The office needs to reach the officers on duty quickly and know who is still on post.
What does CLEET require of a guard company in Oklahoma City?
Licensing is statewide, through the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training under the Oklahoma Security Guard and Private Investigator Act. An agency is licensed for five years, must have a licensed supervisor, and carries $100,000 of coverage; each guard is licensed for three years. According to the CLEET training page, an unarmed guard completes Phase I and Phase II, 40 hours; an armed guard adds the 32-hour Phase IV firearms course for 72 hours, and armed applicants also take the MMPI. Every guard needs at least 8 hours of continuing education from an approved source each licensing period.
Nobody works before being licensed, with one exception: an unarmed guard employed by a licensed agency has a 45-day window. Agencies notify CLEET within five days of a hire or a termination. We have not found a separate Oklahoma City guard license in official sources; business registration, venue rules and public clients still apply, so confirm with the city before you staff a new kind of post.
CGuardPro keeps each guard’s CLEET license, armed status and continuing-education dates on the profile with expiry alerts; it does not file anything with CLEET. See our Oklahoma page and the Oklahoma licensing guide.

Oklahoma City Security Software Questions
Can a new unarmed guard work in Oklahoma City before the CLEET license arrives?
Only within the 45-day window the Act allows for unarmed guards employed by a licensed agency. Armed guards cannot work before licensing. Record the hire date so the end of the window is visible.
How many training hours does an Oklahoma guard need?
Forty hours for unarmed (Phase I and Phase II) and 72 for armed, which adds the 32-hour Phase IV firearms course. Each guard also needs at least 8 hours of continuing education per licensing period.
Do we have to tell CLEET when someone quits?
Yes. Agencies notify CLEET within five days of a hire or a termination. A record of start and end dates per officer makes that deadline easy to meet.
Does Oklahoma City issue its own security license?
We have not found one in official sources. Business registration, venue rules and public-property requirements still apply, so check with the city and the client.
How do we reach officers during a tornado warning?
Message officers in groups by post from the command center and use push-to-talk radio for live coordination. The map shows who is on duty and where, and an officer can hit SOS to open a top-priority case that goes out on push and WhatsApp together, plus SMS.
