Security guard training software
that officers can finish on the phone they already carry

Guard companies train constantly — new hires, new sites, report writing, de-escalation, a client's new procedure — and most of it lives in a binder, a video link in a group chat and a sign-in sheet nobody can find when a client asks. Security guard training software should make it simple to put a course in front of the right officers, see who actually finished it, and prove it later. In CGuardPro you build your own courses with lessons and a quiz, assign them to one officer or to everyone with a due date, and track progress, scores and certificates from the office while officers complete them in the guard app. Trusted by 600+ security companies worldwide.

Short answer

Security guard training software lets a guard company deliver courses to officers and prove who completed them. In CGuardPro, you build your own courses of lessons with video links, written content and resources, plus an optional quiz. Courses are assigned to one officer or all with a due date, taken in the guard app and graded on the server, and passed courses issue certificates with serial numbers. It does not replace state-required training.

Why guard training is hard to prove

Training happens, the record does not

The site walkthrough was done, the video was watched, the procedure was explained at shift change. Six months later a client asks whether the officer at their front desk was trained on their evacuation plan, and the only evidence is someone's recollection.

Classroom time does not fit a 24/7 roster

Officers work nights, weekends and rotating shifts across different sites. Getting them into a room at the same time costs overtime and still misses whoever was on post, so the training quietly reaches only the people who were available.

Nobody knows who has not finished

Assigning training by message means following up by message. With forty officers and three courses in flight, the office cannot see at a glance who is overdue, who failed the quiz and who never opened it.

How training works in CGuardPro

01

Build your own courses

A course is a set of ordered lessons, each with a video link, written content and downloadable resources such as your PDFs, plus an estimated duration. Add an optional quiz with a passing score, and the course is ready to assign.

02

Assign with a due date

Assign a course to an individual officer or to all officers at once, with a due date. Officers see their assigned courses in the guard app and work through them in between rounds or at home, lesson by lesson.

03

Graded on the server, not on the honor system

Lessons are marked complete as the officer finishes them, and the quiz is graded by the server against the passing score you set. Progress, completion date and score are recorded for every officer.

04

Certificates and a record you can show

Passing a course issues a certificate with a unique serial number that the officer can view in the app, print or share by link. The office sees progress and results per course and per officer, and completed training adds to the officer's performance score.

Frequently asked questions

Can we upload our own training content? +

Yes. You build the courses: each lesson can carry a video link, written content and downloadable resources like your post-specific procedures or policy PDFs. That is the right model for most guard companies, because the training that matters most — your client's site, your incident categories, your escalation path — is not something a generic library knows.

Does it replace state-required guard training? +

No. Where a state requires a set number of classroom hours, a firearms qualification or training delivered by a licensed school or instructor, that still has to happen the way the state requires, and the certificate comes from that school. CGuardPro is where you run your own company and site-specific training and keep its record. Record state training certificates as credentials with their expiry dates, so the license tracking alerts cover them.

How do we know an officer actually completed the course? +

Each lesson is marked complete as the officer goes through it, and the quiz is graded on the server against the passing score you set, not self-reported. The office sees each officer's progress percentage, completion date and score per course, and who is still pending as the due date approaches.

Can officers take training on their phone? +

Yes, in the same guard app they use for clock-in, tours and reports. Assigned courses appear there, lessons open on the phone, and the certificate is viewable in the app once they pass. That matters on a 24/7 roster: training fits into the gaps of the shift rather than requiring everyone in one room.

What does the certificate look like, and can a client see it? +

A passed course issues a certificate with the officer's name, the course, the date, the score and a unique serial number. It can be printed or shared through a link that opens without logging in, so you can send proof of a site-specific course to a client who asks for it.

Is there a course library included? +

Plan on building your own courses. The strength of the module is putting your content in front of officers and tracking it, not replacing the course development you already do. If you need a large off-the-shelf catalog, ask during the demo what is available for your account rather than assuming it.

Does it integrate with an LMS or support SCORM? +

Not that we would promise. Courses are built inside the platform, and we have no SCORM import or LMS integration to point you to. If your training already lives in a dedicated LMS and has to stay there, that is worth knowing before you choose where to run it.

Assign a course in the demo

Book a demo and bring one procedure you train on today. We turn it into a course with a short quiz, assign it to a test officer and show you the progress and the certificate from the office.
