Security Guard Software
for McAllen and the Valley
CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in McAllen and across the Rio Grande Valley, from Mission and Edinburg to Harlingen and Brownsville: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, verified guard tours, incident reports, gate logs and a client portal, with guard, supervisor and client apps in English and Spanish. It costs $5 per user per month, with a 7-day free trial. Valley guard work follows produce and cross-border freight, retail, hospitals, schools and residential communities spread along a long stretch of US-83 and I-2.
What does guard work in the Valley look like?
Produce and cross-border freight
The Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge is one of the main produce crossings into the United States, and cold-storage warehouses, cross-docks and truck yards cluster around it. Gate posts log reefers in and out around the clock, and the plate read from a phone photo replaces the handwritten sheet.
A metro spread along one highway
The Valley is a chain of cities, not one downtown. A supervisor covering Mission to Brownsville spends the shift on I-2 and US-83; logging each site visit with position and time turns that driving into evidence you can review.
Bilingual by default
Most officers and many clients here move between Spanish and English. The guard app, reports and client portal run in both, and each person picks the language they work in.
Hurricane season
From June to November, a Gulf storm can change every schedule in Cameron County within a day. Team messaging reaches officers in groups by post, and the schedule shows which posts are uncovered when officers cannot get in.
Healthcare, schools and a university
Hospitals, school districts and UTRGV campuses across the Valley want rounds on a schedule, incidents classified for their risk team and a portal they can read without calling dispatch.
Seasonal swings
Winter Texans fill RV resorts and retail through the winter months, and shopping centers get busier around the holidays. A roster that flexes by season needs scheduling that shows open posts before the shift, not after.
What CGuardPro gives a Valley operation
English and Spanish
The guard app, reports and client portal are available in Spanish as well as English, so officers and clients each read their own language.
Visitor and vehicle logs
Gate entries and exits logged from the guard app, with the license plate read from a phone photo.
Guard tours with proof
Checkpoints as printed QR codes or NFC tags. Every scan is verified on the server with time and position, with an optional photo or note, and a missed tour raises an alert.
Scheduling and relief coverage
Build rotations, see an uncovered post before the shift starts and assign the relief officer from the same screen.
GPS and selfie clock-in
Each punch carries a selfie, a GPS position checked against the post geofence and server time. Clock-in needs a live connection at the moment of the punch.
Client portal
Your client follows patrols, incidents and reports for their own sites, and only theirs.

What does Texas require of a guard company in McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley?
The same as anywhere else in the state. Private security in Texas is regulated by the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Private Security program under Occupations Code Chapter 1702, not by the city or the county. The company holds a license; each officer holds their own credential. DPS requires Level II training of non-commissioned officers, adds Level III (a minimum of 45 hours, with a firearms proficiency demonstration) for commissioned officers, and Level IV (a minimum of 15 hours) for personal protection officers, per its training and continuing education page.
CGuardPro does not license anyone. It keeps each officer’s documents on their profile and produces the record an audit asks for: who was assigned to which post, when they clocked in and what they did. The detail is in our Texas DPS license guide.
Rio Grande Valley Security Software Questions
Can officers write reports in Spanish and clients read them in English?
Each person uses the platform in their own language: the guard app, the reports and the client portal are available in Spanish and English. Officers and clients see the interface in the language they choose; what an officer types in a free-text field stays as written.
We cover sites from Mission to Brownsville. How do we supervise that?
Supervisors have their own app. Each site visit is logged from the phone with position and time, and the supervisor’s route appears on the same live map as the officers on post, so you can see which sites got a visit this week and which have not been seen in a month.
How do we handle a hurricane week?
Message officers by post group from team messaging, mark the posts that close, and use the schedule to see which posts are still uncovered and who can relieve them. Incidents filed during the storm keep the time they happened even if the phone was offline when they were written.
How do we log reefer trucks at a warehouse gate?
The officer photographs the vehicle, the plate is read from the photo into the entry, and the entry keeps the time and site. The post’s log replaces the paper sheet.
Does CGuardPro make us DPS-compliant?
No software can. CGuard Pro LLC is not a licensed guard company and has no role in the DPS process; your company license and each officer’s credential stay yours to hold and renew. What CGuardPro does is keep officer documents on their profile and the evidence of who worked which post, and when, in a form you can produce quickly.
How is CGuardPro priced?
It is $5 per user per month, one plan with every feature, plus an optional one-time implementation package of $299.99. A user is anyone with a login: admins, supervisors, officers and the client logins you hand out. There is a 7-day free trial.
