TrackTik vs Belfry
and where CGuardPro sits next to them

TrackTik is a broad, modular security operations platform owned by Trackforce and priced by the number of sites you protect. Belfry is an all-in-one back office for US guard companies, with payroll, benefits and billing built in, priced per active employee. Neither publishes a dollar figure. CGuardPro, the third column below, is a field-first platform at a published $5 per user per month with a 7-day trial. Everything said about TrackTik and Belfry here comes from their own sites, read in October 2026.

What is TrackTik good at?

Breadth and reach. Trackforce lists guard tours, mobile patrol, incident reporting, dispatch, lone-worker safety, scheduling, payroll and ACA reporting, contract and billing management, business intelligence and an AI report-writing tool called ReportPro AI, and says the platform runs in 55 languages across more than 50 countries. Its pricing page lets you start with tours and reporting and add billing, payroll, BI or visitor management later. For a multi-country operation, or a buyer whose procurement team wants a scoped quote and a negotiated contract, that is a real strength.

The pricing unit is worth noticing. Trackforce says it prices "by sites, not seats", with "never a per-seat penalty for growing". If you run large posts with many officers each, that unit can work in your favor.

What is Belfry good at?

The back office. Belfry's five modules, Scheduling, Timekeeping, Operations, Payroll & HR and Billing, are designed to carry an hour from the schedule all the way to a paycheck and an invoice, inside one US-focused product. Its operations page covers checkpoint tours with NFC tags and geofences, post orders that officers confirm at clock-in, and a client portal with a live "shift drilldown". The company raised a $12 million Series A in January 2025, and it publishes named customer stories you can check.

It bills per active employee, so seasonal or inactive staff do not count against you, according to its plans page.

Why is CGuardPro in the third column?

Because many buyers comparing these two are really choosing between "a big modular suite" and "a back office with payroll", and a third shape is missing from that choice: a platform built around proving the post was covered, with a price you can calculate yourself. CGuardPro is $5 per user per month for every login, all features in one plan, plus a one-time $299.99 implementation fee. You can run it for 7 days on a real site first.

What it does differently is at the post: clock-in needs a live GPS fix and a selfie; each post can have its own geofence, a radius or a drawn polygon, with an alert when the officer leaves it; checkpoints are QR codes or NFC tags, and every scan is checked against server time and position, with an optional photo or note. It also carries an alarm receiver that accepts Contact ID, SIA DC-09 and Surgard signals, and push-to-talk radio in the guard app.

What it does not do is equally clear. CGuardPro does not run payroll and does not invoice your clients. For US companies it sends approved hours to Gusto, free, as time sheets classified as regular, overtime and double overtime under the federal weekly rule and California's daily rules. If you want payroll and client billing inside your guard software, Belfry or TrackTik is the closer fit and you should weigh that honestly.

Which one should you choose?

  • Choose TrackTik if you need many modules, many countries or many languages, and you are comfortable with a scoped, site-based quote.
  • Choose Belfry if payroll, benefits and invoicing are where your office loses its week, and you operate only in the US.
  • Choose CGuardPro if your clients question coverage and patrols, you want the price before the call, and you want to test on a live post for 7 days.

Frequently asked questions

What is the main difference between TrackTik and Belfry?+

Where each one starts. TrackTik, now part of Trackforce, presents itself as an end-to-end security operations platform sold module by module and priced by the number of sites you protect. Belfry presents itself as an all-in-one back office for US guard companies, with scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, benefits and billing in one product and pricing per active employee. Both publish guard tours and a client portal. Neither publishes a dollar figure. Checked October 2026 on both vendors' own sites.

Is TrackTik or Belfry cheaper?+

Nobody outside a sales process can tell you, because neither publishes a price. What you can compare is the billing unit. TrackTik's pricing page says it is priced by sites, not seats, so a firm with many officers on few sites tends to benefit. Belfry bills per active employee, so a firm with many small sites and thin staffing tends to benefit. Get both quotes as a single first-year figure, including implementation, before you compare. CGuardPro publishes $5 per user per month plus a one-time $299.99 implementation fee, so you can do that arithmetic for us today.

Which is better for a small security company?+

It depends less on headcount than on what is hurting. If the pain is payroll, benefits and invoicing, Belfry's published product is aimed squarely at it. If you expect to need many modules, multiple countries or an enterprise procurement process, TrackTik's breadth fits. If the pain is proving to clients that posts were covered and patrols happened, and you want a price you can calculate without a call, CGuardPro is the third option worth a 7-day trial.

Where does CGuardPro fit between TrackTik and Belfry?+

It is a single product, priced in public, built from the guard app outward: GPS and selfie clock-in, geofences per post with exit alerts, QR or NFC checkpoints, incident reports with photos, daily activity reports, shift pass-down, visitor and vehicle logs, panic and client SOS, push-to-talk and a client portal. It does not run payroll or invoice your clients. For US firms, approved hours go to Gusto as time sheets split into regular, overtime and double overtime.

Do TrackTik and Belfry offer free trials?+

Neither vendor advertises one on its pricing page as of October 2026, and Capterra lists no free trial for either. Both route you to a demo or a quote. That is a normal way to sell larger platforms. CGuardPro offers a 7-day free trial with full features and no credit card, so you can run a real post before talking to anyone.
