Cannabis dispensary security software
for dispensaries and grow sites

Cannabis dispensary security software has to produce records as much as coverage. Product and cash make dispensaries and cultivation sites a target, and in many states the licensee answers to a cannabis regulator that can ask how the site is secured. CGuardPro gives your officers written post orders for each position, verifies their attendance and rounds, sends duress alerts to your monitoring center and keeps a history you can export when the licensee needs it. The rules themselves vary by state and are set by the state regulator, not by us. Trusted by 600+ security companies worldwide.

Short answer

Cannabis dispensary security software has to produce records as much as coverage, because product and cash make dispensaries and grow sites a target and licensees may answer to a state regulator. CGuardPro gives officers written post orders per position, verifies attendance and QR or NFC rounds, sends duress alerts to your monitoring center and keeps an exportable history. It does not make a site compliant; state rules vary and are set by the regulator.

What makes cannabis contracts different

A target that everybody knows about

Inventory with street value and a business that often handles a lot of cash. Opening, closing and any movement of product or money are the minutes that matter most — and the ones with the least evidence behind them.

The licensee answers to a regulator

Many states ask cannabis licensees for a security plan and may inspect how the site is run. What exactly is required differs from state to state, and your client needs your part of it documented, not described.

Procedures that cannot live in someone's head

Who checks entry at the door, who escorts, what happens at closing, who is called when an alarm goes off. When the regular officer is off, a relief who does not know the routine is a real exposure.

How a dispensary contract runs on CGuardPro

01

Post orders written for each position

The entrance, the sales floor, the vault or storage area, the perimeter and the grow rooms each get their own orders, including the client's procedures for escorts and closing. Completion is recorded with the time, the officer's name and a note, photos or video.

02

Attendance verified at the site

Officers clock in with a selfie and the phone's position, checked against the post, so opening and closing are covered by the assigned officer at the assigned place.

03

Rounds that cannot be signed from the desk

QR or NFC checkpoints at the doors, the storage area, the perimeter fence and the parking lot, each scan carrying the time, the position and the identified officer, verified when it arrives.

04

Duress goes to the monitoring center

The panic button opens an alarm with the officer identified and located, alerts the supervisors and nearby officers, and stays open as a case until someone closes it.

What the licensee gets

  • Opening and closing attendance verified by selfie and position
  • Post orders per position, with completion recorded by time and name
  • Verified rounds at the doors, storage areas and perimeter
  • Panic and duress alerts routed into your monitoring center
  • Officer credentials and training documents tracked with their expiry dates
  • A full history per site, exportable for the period the client requests

Frequently asked questions

Does CGuardPro make a dispensary compliant with state cannabis rules? +

No software does that on its own, and we do not claim it. Security requirements for cannabis licensees are set by each state — and sometimes by the city or county — and they change. Check the current rules with your state's cannabis regulator and with the licensee. What CGuardPro gives you is the operational record of what your officers actually did, which is the part a security plan usually has to be backed by.

Can the officer's routine follow the dispensary's security plan? +

Yes, as far as the plan describes what officers do. Each post carries its own orders, recurring items can be scheduled by time or weekday, and each completion is stored with the time, the officer's name and any attachment. The plan itself is the licensee's document.

Does the app check customer IDs at the door? +

No. The app does not verify identity documents or ages. If the dispensary's procedure or state rules require checks at entry, the officer carries them out as the client's procedure says, and the post orders are where that procedure is written.

Can we record deliveries and visitors at a cultivation site? +

Yes. Each entry records the person, their company, who authorised them, the vehicle and its plate — the app can read it from a photo — and the exit time. The client can also pre-authorise an expected visitor with a QR pass the officer scans at the gate.

What happens if the officer on the door does not clock in? +

The missing clock-in raises the alert by itself, so dispatch sees the uncovered post before opening rather than after, and can reassign from the same screen.

Can the client see what our officers did? +

Yes, through a portal limited to their own sites: the rounds completed, the reports filed and the incidents raised, with the time and place each one was recorded.
