Security Guard Software
for Bay Area Companies
CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose and the rest of the Bay Area: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, one plan with every feature, with a 7-day free trial. Bay Area guard work is dominated by tech and corporate campuses, Financial District and SoMa towers, the Port of Oakland and its yards, hospitals and universities, and stadium nights, with a bridge or two between most posts.
What does guard work in the Bay Area look like?
Corporate and tech campuses
From SoMa to Mountain View and San Jose, corporate campuses run lobby desks, visitor check-in, parking garage rounds and patrols of buildings that are half empty at night. The client’s facilities team wants reports on a schedule, not on request.
Financial District towers
Downtown San Francisco office towers mean lobby posts, dock control and mechanical-floor rounds, with visitor logs the property manager can read at any hour.
Port of Oakland and the East Bay
Container terminals, truck yards and warehouses around the Port of Oakland and along I-880 run gate logs and overnight yard patrols with checkpoints.
Bridges between posts
A supervisor covering San Francisco, the East Bay and the South Bay spends the shift on bridges and freeways. Inspections logged on site with time and position show what was checked and when.
Hospitals and universities
Medical centers and university campuses across the region want escorts, rounds and incidents filed with photos and a category their own security office recognizes.
Stadium and arena nights
Chase Center and Oracle Park in San Francisco and Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara bring event rosters of short shifts. Push-to-talk channels run inside the guard app.

What does California require of a guard company in the Bay Area?
Licensing is statewide. California’s Bureau of Security and Investigative Services licenses the company as a Private Patrol Operator and issues each officer’s guard card; Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force training comes before the card, followed by 32 hours of skills training within six months and 8 hours of continuing training every year, per the BSIS fact sheet. Those state credentials are the same in San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose.
California also pays overtime by the day, which is why our Gusto integration classifies approved hours under California’s daily rules before they reach Gusto.
CGuardPro does not issue or verify guard cards. It keeps each officer’s card and training dates on their profile with alerts before they lapse. More on our California page and in the guard card guide.
Bay Area Security Software Questions
Can a tech campus facilities team get reports without asking us?
Yes. Give them a client login. They see daily activity reports, incidents and patrols for their own campus as they are filed, and only theirs.
We cover San Francisco, the East Bay and San Jose. Do we need separate setups?
No. Every client, site and post lives in one operation, and the live board filters by client, site or supervisor. A missed tour or uncovered post raises an alert wherever it is.
How do we show the client a supervisor really visited at night?
Supervisors complete an inspection template at each stop in the supervisor app, with photos and notes, time and position. Every visit stays in a supervision history by post and date.
Can CGuardPro take alarm signals from our monitored sites?
Yes. The alarm receiver accepts Contact ID, SIA DC-09 and Surgard signals and opens cases in the same queue as officer panic alerts, so the dispatcher sends the nearest officer from one screen.
Is overtime calculated the California way?
Approved hours per officer go to Gusto as time sheets classified Regular, Overtime and Double overtime under the federal weekly rule and California’s daily rules, per post. Payroll runs in Gusto.
