Security Guard Software
for Seattle Companies
CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in Seattle, the Eastside and the rest of Puget Sound: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, one plan with every feature, with a 7-day free trial. Seattle guard work centers on tech campuses in South Lake Union, Bellevue and Redmond, seaport terminals, warehouses in the Kent Valley, hospitals and the venues around SoDo, through long, wet winter nights.
What does guard work in Seattle look like?
South Lake Union and the Eastside
Tech campuses in South Lake Union, Bellevue and Redmond run lobby desks, visitor badges for vendors and contractors, garage rounds and night patrols of large office buildings. The facilities team wants a daily report without asking for it.
The seaport
Container terminals on the Duwamish and Elliott Bay waterfront run truck gates and yard patrols where every entry and every round should be on the record for the terminal operator.
Kent Valley warehouses
South of the city, the Kent Valley and the corridor toward Tacoma are full of distribution centers. Dock posts and yard tours run around the clock, often with one officer covering a large property.
Dark, wet winter nights
Outdoor posts in a Seattle winter mean early darkness and rain. Checkpoints placed under cover and photos at each one show what the officer saw, and a panic button reaches your control room with the officer’s location.
SoDo venue nights
Football, baseball and soccer in SoDo and concerts at Climate Pledge Arena make for event rosters of short shifts. Push-to-talk channels in the app keep the team talking.
Hospitals and campuses
University and hospital campuses across the city want rounds, escorts and incidents filed with photos and a category their own security office recognizes.

What does Washington require of a guard company in Seattle?
Licensing is statewide, through the Washington State Department of Licensing under chapter 18.170 RCW. The company holds a private security company license with a qualifying agent and liability insurance; each officer holds a guard license and must be employed by, or have a job offer from, a licensed company. RCW 18.170.105 sets 8 hours of preassignment training (at least 4 in a classroom), 8 hours of initial postassignment training and a 4-hour annual refresher. Armed officers must be at least 21 and hold a firearms certificate from the Criminal Justice Training Commission.
These are state credentials, the same in Seattle as in Spokane. Overtime in Washington is weekly, over 40 hours, with no daily rule; our Washington page has the details.
CGuardPro does not license anyone or check licenses with DOL. It keeps each officer’s license and training dates on their profile and the record of who worked which post. See the Washington license guide.
Seattle Security Software Questions
Can CGuardPro track the Washington annual refresher for each officer?
Yes. Record the guard license, the refresher date and the firearms certificate if the officer is armed on their profile. License tracking alerts before anything expires; it warns but does not block scheduling.
Our tech campus client wants a report every morning. Is that manual?
No. The daily activity report is built from what the shift actually did, tours, incidents and notes, and the client reads it in the portal with their own login.
How do we protect an officer alone on a Kent Valley yard at night?
Give them a panic button in the guard app that reaches your control room with their last known location, set a geofence around the post, and run tours with checkpoints so a stopped round raises an alert.
Do checkpoints work outside in the rain?
QR codes and NFC tags work as long as they are mounted where they stay readable; many companies place them under cover or use NFC tags, which do not depend on a clean printed code.
Can we run SoDo event nights and permanent posts together?
Yes. Event posts have their own dates in the same schedule, the board shows conflicts, and push-to-talk channels run inside the guard app over the data connection.
