Security Guard Software
for Inland Empire Companies

CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in Riverside and San Bernardino counties: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, one plan with every feature, with a 7-day free trial. The Inland Empire is warehouse country: distribution buildings from Ontario to Moreno Valley, rail intermodal yards and airport cargo, staffed by officers whose hours fall under California’s daily overtime rules.

What does guard work in the Inland Empire look like?

The warehouse belt

Ontario, Fontana, Rialto, Moreno Valley, Perris and Redlands hold some of the largest concentrations of distribution buildings in the country. A typical post is a gatehouse plus a yard full of trailers, and the client wants every truck in and out on record.

Yard checks and trailer rows

Officers walk trailer rows, check seals and doors and note what they find. Checkpoints at the ends of each row, with an optional photo, turn that walk into something the client can audit.

Rail and air cargo

Intermodal yards in San Bernardino and the cargo side of Ontario International Airport add fence-line tours and gate control around the clock.

Festival season in the desert

The spring music festivals in Indio bring weeks of temporary posts: perimeter, parking, backstage and camping areas. Rosters built for the event and closed after it are a scheduling job of their own.

Long drives between sites

Riverside and San Bernardino counties cover a huge area. A supervisor visiting posts from Chino to the Coachella Valley needs each visit logged with time and position, not a mileage guess.

Heat on the yard

Summer afternoons on an open yard are brutal. Shorter tours, lone-worker check-ins and a panic button in the app keep someone aware of the officer out there alone.

What CGuardPro gives an Inland Empire operation

Visitor and vehicle logs

Every truck and trailer at the gatehouse logged with the plate read from a phone photo.

Guard tours with proof

QR or NFC checkpoints along trailer rows, each scan verified with time and position, with optional photo or note.

Hours to Gusto

Approved hours to Gusto split into regular, overtime and double overtime under California’s daily rules, per post.

License and certificate tracking

Each guard card, firearms permit and training date on the profile, with alerts before renewal.

Supervisor site inspections

Supervisor visits across both counties logged as inspections with photos, time and position.

Lone-worker checks

Interval check-ins for officers alone on a hot yard, with an alert when one is missed.

What licensing applies to a guard company in the Inland Empire?

California’s Bureau of Security and Investigative Services licenses the company as a Private Patrol Operator and registers each officer with a guard card. Before the card is issued, the officer completes the eight-hour Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force course and a Live Scan background check; after it, 32 hours of skills training (16 within 30 days and 16 within six months) and eight hours of continuing training every year. Armed officers need a firearms permit on top of the guard card.

We have not found a separate Riverside, San Bernardino or Ontario security guard license; confirm with the city or county where the post sits, since business licenses are local. California overtime is daily as well as weekly, so a 12-hour yard shift carries overtime and possibly double time even in a short week.

CGuardPro does not verify guard cards with BSIS. It stores each card and training date on the officer profile and warns before they lapse, and with Gusto it classifies hours under the California daily rules. See our California page and the California guard card guide. This is a summary, not legal advice.

Inland Empire Security Software Questions

How does CGuardPro handle California daily overtime on 12-hour yard shifts?

With the Gusto integration, approved hours per officer go to Gusto as time sheets split into regular, overtime and double overtime under California’s daily rules, per post. You still run payroll in Gusto.

Can we log every truck at a distribution center gate?

Yes. The officer logs each entry and exit from the guard app and the plate is read from a phone photo. The warehouse client sees the log in the portal for its site.

Do Riverside or San Bernardino require their own guard license?

We have not found one; BSIS registers guards statewide. Confirm with the city or county where the post is, since local business licensing still applies.

How do we prove a trailer row was checked?

Put a QR code or NFC tag at each end of the row. Every scan is verified on the server with time and position, the officer can attach a photo of a seal or a door, and a missed tour raises an alert.

How do we staff festival weeks in the desert?

Create the festival posts with their own shifts and post orders, assign officers beside the regular roster and see uncovered shifts ahead of time. Push-to-talk in the app keeps the event team on one channel.
