Security Guard Software
for Boise Companies
CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in Boise and the Treasure Valley: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, one plan with every feature, with a 7-day free trial. Idaho has no state guard license, but the City of Boise licenses security companies and every officer working in the city, with bonds and fingerprints at City Hall, so a Boise roster carries city credentials the rest of the state does not ask for.
What does guard work in Boise look like?
A city license for every officer
Inside Boise city limits, each officer needs a Security Personnel License with a bond, and fingerprints taken at City Hall. A new hire is not ready for a Boise post until that is done, which makes the license date the first thing a scheduler checks.
Semiconductor construction
The large semiconductor campus in southeast Boise and its expansion bring construction gates, contractor badges and overnight tours of laydown yards for years at a time.
Game days on the Boise State campus
Football Saturdays and arena events add parking, gate and nearby-property shifts on top of the campus’s regular patrols.
Two hospital systems
Boise’s two hospital systems and their clinics across the valley want emergency department posts, garage rounds and escorts.
Growth west of the city
Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell keep adding apartments, retail centers and distribution buildings. Those cities sit outside Boise’s license, so check each one’s rules before a post opens there.
Winter on outdoor posts
Construction sites and yards still need rounds in snow and freezing fog. A pass-down to the next shift notes what froze, what failed and what the client was told.

Who licenses security officers in Boise?
The city, not the state. Idaho has no statewide security guard or company license. The City of Boise’s City Clerk licensing office issues a Security Company License that needs a $500,000 certificate of liability insurance and a $10,000 fiduciary bond, both naming the City of Boise, and uniform photos approved at application and every three years.
Every other employee needs a separate Security Personnel License with a $2,500 bond naming the city, plus in-person fingerprinting at City Hall and an FBI record check; an Idaho concealed weapons permit does not exempt anyone from that check. Boise’s pages do not list training hours, fees or the license term, so ask the clerk. Meridian, Nampa and other cities set their own rules; we have not verified them, so confirm with each city. Overtime follows the federal 40-hour weekly rule.
CGuardPro does not file with the City Clerk. It holds each license and bond date on the officer profile and warns before they lapse. See our Idaho page and the Idaho licensing guide. This is a summary, not legal advice.
Boise Security Software Questions
Does every security officer in Boise need a city license?
Yes, within city limits. Boise’s company license page says all other employees must hold a separate Security Personnel License, each with a $2,500 bond naming the city and fingerprints taken at City Hall.
Does a Boise license cover a post in Meridian or Nampa?
Not automatically. Each city sets its own rules, and we have not verified Meridian’s or Nampa’s. Confirm with each city before you staff a post there.
How do we track officer bonds and licenses together?
Add the personnel license and the bond as credentials on the officer profile, each with its expiry date. CGuardPro warns ahead of each one; it does not block scheduling.
How do we run contractor gates on a large construction site?
Log each contractor and delivery at the gate from the guard app, with the plate read from a photo, and run tours with QR or NFC checkpoints across the laydown yard. The client sees both in the portal.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 7 days. After that it is $5 per user per month with every feature included, and an optional one-time implementation of $299.99.
