Security Guard Software
for Orlando Companies
CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in Orlando and Central Florida: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, with a 7-day free trial. Orlando contract work is hospitality-heavy, hotel lobbies and parking decks along International Drive, convention halls, resort communities and a growing medical district, with a Florida Class D license behind every officer on the roster.
What does guard work in Orlando look like?
The International Drive hotel corridor
Hotels, timeshare resorts and the attractions between them run lobby posts, parking-deck patrols and pool-area rounds around the clock. A general manager wants the overnight round on paper the next morning, and a guest complaint wants the time stamped on the incident, not the shift.
Convention move-in and move-out
Shows at the Orange County Convention Center bring booth-watch, dock and exhibit-hall posts that exist for four days and then vanish. The roster is built for the show, officers get the hall’s post orders on their phone, and the client sees coverage per hall without calling dispatch.
Airport-adjacent logistics and parking
Around Orlando International Airport sit rental-car lots, cargo buildings and remote parking. Those are long, flat patrols where a geofence around the lot and a checkpoint at each fence corner say more than a radio check.
Lake Nona and the hospitals
The Lake Nona medical district and the hospital systems across the metro want rounds through garages and entrances, escorts on request and incidents classified the way their risk team reads them.
Campus and stadium nights
UCF on the east side, the downtown arena and Camping World Stadium put short, dense event rosters on top of the permanent schedule. Push-to-talk channels in the app let a one-night crew talk from the first hour.
Hurricane season
From June through November a storm can close sites, double posts at others and knock out cell service for hours. Incident reports and visitor entries queue on the phone and sync when the signal returns, so the storm night still leaves a record.
What does Florida require of a guard company working in Orlando?
Guard licensing for Orlando posts comes from the state. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing, administers Chapter 493, Florida Statutes. The agency holds a Class B license, and each officer holds a Class D license, which requires a minimum of 40 hours of professional training at a licensed school. An armed officer also needs a Class G license: 28 hours of range and classroom training, 8 of them in person on the range, and at least 4 hours of firearms requalification each year of the license.
Most licenses renew every two years and the agency license every three, so a large hotel roster turns over credentials all year. CGuardPro keeps each license on the officer’s profile and warns before it expires; it does not file anything with FDACS. The full summary is on our Florida page and in the Florida company license guide.
Which CGuardPro features matter most in Orlando?
Class D and G expiry alerts
Each officer’s Florida license numbers and dates live on their profile, with a warning before one lapses. Scheduling is not blocked; the decision stays yours.
Hotel rounds you can prove
QR or NFC checkpoints on stairwells, pool gates and deck levels. Each scan is verified on the server with time and position, with an optional photo or note.
Convention-week coverage
Open shifts for a show are offered to qualified officers, and an uncovered post raises an alert before the doors open.
Parking-deck patrols
Geofences per post, radius or polygon, with an alert when an officer leaves the deck during the shift.
Works through a storm outage
Incidents, visitor entries and tour start and finish queue offline and sync later. Clock-in needs a live connection.
A portal for the general manager
Hotel and property managers follow patrols, incidents and reports for their own sites, and only theirs.

Orlando Security Software Questions
Does Orlando or Orange County issue its own security guard license?
We have not found a separate city or county guard license for Orlando. The credentials you need are Florida’s: a Class B agency license, a Class D license per officer and a Class G for anyone armed, all issued by FDACS under Chapter 493. Check with the city about ordinary business tax receipts, which are a different matter.
Can CGuardPro warn us before a Class D license expires?
Yes. The license type, number and expiry date sit on the officer profile, and CGuardPro warns before the date. It does not check the license against the state database and does not stop you from scheduling the officer; it makes the expiry hard to miss.
How do we staff a four-day convention without a second system?
Create the show as its own site with posts per hall and dock, publish the shifts and let officers pick up open ones. Post orders for each hall are on the phone, and the client follows coverage in the portal. When the show ends you close the site and the history stays.
What happens to reports when a hurricane takes cell service down?
Incident reports, visitor entries and the start and finish of a tour queue on the phone and sync when the connection returns, keeping the time they actually happened. A checkpoint scanned offline is stamped when it reaches the server, and clock-in needs a live connection.
Can a hotel see only its own property?
Yes. Each client login is limited to that client’s sites. A hotel general manager sees patrols, incidents and daily activity reports for the hotel, never for the resort next door you also guard.
