Security Guard Software
for Jacksonville Companies
CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, with a 7-day free trial. Jacksonville is the largest city by land area in the lower 48 states, so the work is spread out: port terminals on the St. Johns River, distribution centers where I-10 meets I-95, hospitals, and apartment communities from the Westside to the Beaches.
What makes guard work in Jacksonville different?
Port terminals on the St. Johns
JAXPORT’s marine terminals move containers, bulk cargo and a large volume of vehicles. Contract posts sit at tenant gates, vehicle lots and warehouses, where the job is checking who comes in and walking long fence lines with something to show for it.
Where I-10 meets I-95
Distribution and cold-storage buildings cluster along both interstates and out toward the Westside. A yard check at 3 a.m. is a checkpoint scan with time and position, and the trailer plate is read from a photo at the gate.
A city measured in miles
With Duval County and the city under one government, a supervisor’s route can run from Baldwin to the Atlantic. Site visits logged from the phone with position and time show which posts were actually inspected this week.
Around the bases
Naval Station Mayport and NAS Jacksonville are secured by the government, but the apartments, shopping centers and contractors around them are classic private posts with traffic at shift change.
Hospitals and the medical corridor
Mayo Clinic’s Florida campus, downtown hospitals and clinics in the southside office parks want garage rounds, entrance posts and incident categories their safety committee recognizes.
Game days and the riverfront
EverBank Stadium and the downtown riverfront add event rosters a few times a season. Build the roster for the date, brief by post orders and talk on push-to-talk channels instead of renting radios.
Which license does a Jacksonville guard need?
A Florida one. Jacksonville posts fall under Chapter 493, Florida Statutes, administered by the Division of Licensing of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The company holds a Class B agency license; every unarmed officer holds a Class D, earned with at least 40 hours of training at a licensed school; an armed officer adds a Class G, with 28 hours of training including 8 on the range and 4 hours of requalification each year.
A terminal or facility client may add its own access rules on top, such as escorts or credential checks at its gate; those belong in the post orders. CGuardPro stores the Florida license dates on each officer and warns before expiry; the licensing itself stays between you and FDACS. More on our Florida page.
What CGuardPro gives a Jacksonville operation
Gate logs with plates
Truck and visitor entries logged from the guard app, with the license plate read from a phone photo.
Supervisor visits across Duval
Supervisors log each site inspection from their own app with time and position, so a county-wide route leaves a trail.
Yard tours with proof
QR or NFC checkpoints along fences and docks, each scan verified on the server, and an alert when a tour is missed.
Geofences on big lots
Polygon geofences that follow an irregular terminal or yard boundary, with an alert when an officer leaves it.
Daily activity reports
What happened on each post, shift by shift, ready for the client the next morning.
Push-to-talk radio
Voice channels inside the app over data, useful on game days and across spread-out sites.

Jacksonville Security Software Questions
Our sites are an hour apart. How do we know supervisors actually visit them?
Supervisors use their own app to log each visit, and the record carries their position and the time. A weekly view of inspections per site shows which posts were seen and which were not, without relying on a mileage sheet.
Can officers log trucks at a terminal or distribution gate?
Yes. Officers record vehicle entries and exits from the guard app and can read the license plate from a photo taken with the phone. The log is searchable later by plate, date or post.
Does a terminal client’s own access rule replace the Florida license?
No. The Florida Class D (and Class G if armed) is required regardless. A facility may add its own rules, such as escorts or credential checks at its gate, and those go into that post’s orders so the officer reads them on the phone.
Can we prove a yard patrol happened on a 3 a.m. shift?
Put QR or NFC checkpoints on the route. Each scan is verified on the server with time and position, the officer can attach a photo or note, and a tour that is not completed raises an alert. The tour history is what you show the client.
Can we run Jacksonville and Orlando accounts together?
Yes. Every client, site and post lives in one operation, and the live board filters by client, site or supervisor, so a company covering both Florida metros works from one screen.
