Security Guard Software
for Nashville Companies

CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in Nashville and Middle Tennessee: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, with a 7-day free trial. Nashville guard work centers on nightlife and live music downtown, arenas and the convention center, a healthcare industry headquartered in the city, and warehouses where three interstates meet, and Tennessee adds training rules specific to bars.

What does guard work in Nashville look like?

Broadway and the bar district

Lower Broadway and the surrounding blocks are door posts, crowd control and ejections, night after night. Tennessee requires extra training within 15 days for officers at alcohol-serving locations, so the assignment date and course dates belong on the officer record.

Arenas, stadium and convention center

Bridgestone Arena, Nissan Stadium and Music City Center put large event rosters on top of the weekly schedule. Officers open the post orders for their gate or concourse on the phone and talk on push-to-talk channels.

Healthcare’s home city

Nashville is home to many healthcare company headquarters, plus Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Corporate campuses want lobby desks and visitor logs; hospitals want rounds, escorts and incident categories their risk teams use.

Where I-24, I-40 and I-65 meet

Distribution and fulfillment buildings ring the city toward La Vergne, Lebanon and Mount Juliet. Overnight yard tours are checkpoint scans with time and position, and gate entries carry a plate read from a photo.

Construction that never stops

Towers, apartments and the East Bank redevelopment keep construction sites active across the county. Night patrols with a photo at each checkpoint answer the morning question from the general contractor.

Short-term rentals and apartments

Apartment communities and mixed-use buildings near downtown want after-hours rounds, garage checks and a monthly report a property manager can forward.

What does Tennessee require of a Nashville guard?

Private security is licensed statewide by the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, Private Protective Services. A contract security company needs a license and a qualifying manager with at least three years of supervisory experience. An unarmed officer must be 18 and complete four hours of training on orientation, legal powers and limitations, emergency procedures and general duties; an armed officer must be 21 and add eight classroom firearm hours and four hours of marksmanship.

The rule that matters most downtown: an officer working at a location that serves alcohol must complete training in de-escalation, safe restraint, first aid and CPR within 15 days of assignment. Registrations are renewed every two years, with a refresher before renewal.

CGuardPro keeps each officer’s registration and course dates on their profile and warns before an expiry; it does not register anyone with the state. More on our Tennessee page and in how to start a security company in Tennessee.

Nashville Security Software Questions

Can CGuardPro track the extra training required for bar posts?

You can record each officer’s courses and dates on their profile, including de-escalation, safe restraint, first aid and CPR. Tennessee requires that training within 15 days of assignment to an alcohol-serving location, so recording the assignment date next to it makes the deadline visible. CGuardPro does not deliver the course.

How do door officers report an ejection quickly?

From the guard app: choose the incident type, add photos and a short description, and submit. The report keeps the time it happened even if the officer submits it a few minutes later, and supervisors see it on the live board.

Does Metro Nashville issue its own guard license?

We have not found a separate Metro Nashville guard license. Officers and companies are licensed by the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance. Venues and the city can impose their own event rules, which belong in your post orders.

Can we run arena nights and our regular schedule from the same roster?

Yes. Create the event as its own site with posts per gate, publish shifts and let qualified officers pick up the open ones, without touching the weekly schedule of your permanent posts.

How is pricing counted for a large event crew?

At $5 per user per month, where a user is anyone with a login. Event officers who log in that month count; the 7-day free trial lets you test a real event first.
