Security Guard Software
for Denver Companies

CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in Denver and the Front Range suburbs: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, one plan with every feature, with a 7-day free trial. Denver is unusual: Colorado has no statewide guard license, but the City and County of Denver licenses both guards and their employers. Its guard work leans on dispensaries, stadiums and concert venues, the airport corridor and medical campuses.

What does guard work in Denver look like?

Dispensaries and grows

Cannabis storefronts and cultivation sites run a door post, ID checks and cash-handling hours, with cameras the client already watches. The guard’s part is the log: who came in, what happened and a panic button that reaches your control room.

Stadiums, arenas and Red Rocks

Ball Arena, Empower Field and Coors Field downtown, and summer concerts at Red Rocks in the foothills, create event rosters of short shifts in all weather. Push-to-talk channels run inside the guard app.

The airport corridor

Hotels, parking, logistics and new development along Peña Boulevard and the I-70 corridor toward Denver International Airport run gate logs, lot patrols and overnight tours.

Medical campuses

The Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora and hospitals across the metro want rounds, escorts and incidents classified the way their security office works.

A licensed city, an unlicensed state

A company working in Denver and in Aurora, Lakewood or Boulder may need Denver licenses for some officers and not for others. Tracking whose Denver license is current matters before you schedule anyone inside city limits.

Weather that changes the plan

Snow on I-25 or a spring storm can make a relief officer late. Uncovered posts show on the board before the shift starts, and the supervisor can ask the officer on duty to stay.

What CGuardPro gives a Denver operation

License and certificate tracking

Each officer’s Denver security guard license and training certificate on their profile, with an alert before the annual renewal.

Panic button and client SOS

A silent alert from the officer or the client reaches your control room with the last known location.

Call-off coverage

Call-offs show as uncovered posts; send relief, extend the officer on duty or move someone from another site.

Incident reports with photos

Filed from the phone at the scene with photos and a category, readable in the client portal.

Push-to-talk radio

Event-day voice channels inside the guard app, no rented radios.

Geofences per post

A radius or polygon around each post, with an alert when an officer on shift leaves it.

What licensing applies to a guard company in Denver?

Colorado has no statewide security guard or company license. The City and County of Denver does: its Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection issues a security guard license to individuals and a private security employer license to companies, in place since November 2018. Guards take their training from one of Denver’s eligible training providers, the guard license is renewed every year, and the city states it is unlawful to work with an expired license. Armed officers need a weapons endorsement.

Overtime is the other Colorado detail: time and a half over 40 hours a week, over 12 in a workday or over 12 consecutive hours, whichever pays more. CGuardPro does not apply the 12-hour daily rule automatically, so review long shifts before payroll. Our Colorado page has the rest.

CGuardPro does not issue or verify Denver licenses. It keeps each officer’s license and training dates on their profile with alerts before renewal. See the Colorado and Denver license guide.

Denver Security Software Questions

Does CGuardPro track Denver security guard licenses?

Yes. Record each officer’s Denver license and training certificate with their dates on the profile. License tracking alerts before the annual renewal; it warns and leaves the scheduling decision to you, since Denver says working with an expired license is unlawful.

We work inside and outside Denver city limits. How do we keep it straight?

Every post has its own address and geofence, and each officer’s credentials are on their profile. A scheduler can see whether the officer assigned to a Denver post has a current Denver license before the shift.

Does CGuardPro calculate Colorado’s 12-hour daily overtime?

No, not automatically. The Gusto integration classifies hours under the federal weekly rule and California’s daily rules. For Colorado, review shifts over 12 hours before payroll; attendance exports to CSV, Excel or PDF help with that.

Can a dispensary owner see what our officer logged?

Yes. Give the owner a client login and they see incidents, visitor entries and reports for their store only. The client app also has an SOS button that reaches your control room.

What happens when snow makes the relief officer late?

The post shows as uncovered before the shift begins. The supervisor can ask the officer on duty to extend the shift or send someone else, and the coverage decision stays on the record.
