TEAM Software WinTeam alternative
when you need guard operations, not an ERP

WinTeam, from TEAM Software, is an ERP for contract cleaning and security companies: accounting, payroll, HR, client billing, job costing and scheduling in one system, built, as of October 2026, for companies with over 100 employees. CGuardPro is not an ERP. It is a guard operations platform at $5 per user per month, and it is the better fit when you want proof at the post and a control room while keeping accounting and payroll in the systems you already use.

What exactly is WinTeam?

TEAM Software describes itself as "a comprehensive ERP ecosystem" for cleaning, security and facilities management companies, and WinTeam as its "Core ERP platform connecting financial, operations and workforce management". WinTeam's modules cover financial management (accounts receivable and payable, job-level profitability, financial reporting), HR and payroll (payroll processing, benefits enrollment, tax compliance), workforce management (scheduling, time tracking, hiring, onboarding) and field operations (mobile app, GPS, biometric and kiosk time clocks). Around it sit Lighthouse for field proof (QR and NFC checkpoints, Bluetooth beacons, geofences, daily activity reports), Hire for applicant tracking, eHub for self-service and Wavelytics for analytics. TEAM Software has been part of WorkWave since 2021.

What does WinTeam do well?

It connects the field to the books. Hours worked flow into payroll and job costing, and TEAM's security page says WinTeam can "automatically generate invoicing and billing based on completed shifts". For a large contractor, one system of record for labor, billing and profitability is worth a lot. TEAM says 65% of the largest US security companies run on TEAM, and it is the natural choice for firms that run both security and janitorial contracts.

When is CGuardPro the better fit?

When you do not want to replace your accounting system to get better guard operations. Many firms already run payroll in Gusto or QuickBooks and invoice from their accounting software. For them, an ERP project is more change than the problem needs. CGuardPro covers the field and the control room, with a published price and a go-live measured in days:

  • Proof at the post: GPS and selfie clock-in, geofences per post with exit alerts, QR and NFC checkpoints checked on the server against time and position.
  • Reports: incident reports with photos, daily activity reports, shift pass-down, post orders, visitor and vehicle logs.
  • The control room: missed-tour and uncovered-post alerts, panic button and client SOS, push-to-talk radio, and an alarm receiver for Contact ID, SIA DC-09 and Surgard.
  • The hand-off: for US companies, approved hours go to Gusto as regular, overtime and double-overtime time sheets, free. QuickBooks Online is announced.

What does the decision come down to?

One question: should your guard software also be your accounting, payroll and billing system? If yes, WinTeam is built for that and CGuardPro is not; compare it with other ERPs and with Belfry. If no, an ERP is a large project to buy for field problems, and a guard platform priced per user is the simpler test. Our TrackTik alternatives list covers both kinds.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good WinTeam alternative?+

It depends on whether you need an ERP. WinTeam, from TEAM Software (part of WorkWave), runs accounting, payroll, HR, billing and operations for cleaning and security companies, and TEAM says it is built for companies over 100 employees. If you want those in one system, look at other ERPs or at Belfry, which sells payroll and billing packages. If you need guard operations and want to keep your accounting and payroll where they are, CGuardPro is the alternative to test, at $5 per user per month.

Is CGuardPro an ERP like WinTeam?+

No. CGuardPro does not keep a general ledger, run payroll or invoice your clients. It covers the field: scheduling, GPS and selfie clock-in, geofences, QR and NFC tours, incident and daily activity reports, visitor and vehicle logs, panic button, push-to-talk, an alarm receiver and a client portal. For US companies, approved hours go to Gusto as time sheets, free.

How much does WinTeam cost?+

TEAM Software does not publish prices as of October 2026. Its pricing page invites you to contact sales about functionality and pricing, and says its software is built for cleaning and security companies with over 100 employees. CGuardPro publishes $5 per user per month plus a one-time $299.99 implementation fee.

Who should choose WinTeam?+

A contract services company with more than 100 employees that wants finance, payroll, HR, billing, job costing and scheduling in one system, especially one that also runs janitorial work. TEAM says 65% of the largest US security companies run on TEAM. That depth is the point of an ERP, and CGuardPro does not try to match it.

Does CGuardPro integrate with WinTeam?+

No. CGuardPro integrates with Gusto, and QuickBooks Online is announced. Attendance can be exported to CSV, Excel or PDF, which some firms import into other systems, but there is no WinTeam connector.
