Security Guard Software
for Tucson Companies
CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in Tucson and Pima County: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, one plan with every feature, with a 7-day free trial. Here the year bends around two things: the gem and mineral show weeks each winter, when dozens of temporary venues need officers at once, and a summer when outdoor patrols run in triple-digit heat.
What does guard work in Tucson look like?
Gem show weeks
Each winter the Tucson gem and mineral shows spread across hotels, tents and warehouses all over town for several weeks. Vendors want overnight watch on inventory and dock control on load-in days, so a company may add a whole temporary roster beside its regular posts and take it down again in February.
The I-19 produce corridor
Fresh produce crossing at Nogales moves north on I-19 into cold-storage and distribution buildings. Those yards want gate logs with trailer plates and overnight tours of reefer rows, which is checkpoint work, not a desk.
Base and defense work
Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and the aerospace and defense manufacturers around the airport keep contractors near secure perimeters. Whoever gets onto an installation is decided by the installation; the guard company’s job is a clean record of who worked which post and when.
University and medical posts
The University of Arizona campus and the medical center next to it run parking-garage rounds, event nights at the stadium and arena, and escorts after dark.
Heat on outdoor posts
From May to September, construction sites, car lots and storage yards still need rounds. Shorter tours, checkpoints placed in the shade where possible and lone-worker checks keep a supervisor aware of who is out there alone in the afternoon.
Mines and remote sites
Copper operations south and west of town, solar sites and rural substations are long drives from the office. Rounds there need to prove themselves without a supervisor standing next to the officer.
What CGuardPro gives a Tucson operation
Scheduling and relief coverage
Build the gem show roster in the same schedule as your permanent posts, then retire those shifts when the shows close.
Guard tours with proof
QR or NFC checkpoints along reefer rows and fence lines; each scan verified on the server with time and position.
Visitor and vehicle logs
Truck and trailer entries logged at the gate with the plate read from a phone photo.
Lone-worker checks
Periodic check-ins for an officer alone on a hot yard or a remote site, with an alert when one is missed.
License and certificate tracking
Each officer’s AZDPS registration and firearms dates on the profile, with a warning before the four-year renewal comes due.
Client portal
Show vendors and property managers see the incidents and reports for their own site, and nothing else.

What licensing applies to a guard company in Tucson?
Arizona licenses guard companies and officers statewide through the Arizona Department of Public Safety under A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 26. The agency license is issued to the Qualifying Party, with liability insurance of at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per event. Each guard holds a registration certificate valid for four years, takes eight hours of preassignment training and an eight-hour refresher within the 90 days before renewal. Armed guards add at least sixteen hours of initial firearms instruction and eight hours each year.
We have not found a separate City of Tucson or Pima County security guard license; confirm with the city before you open a post, because a general business license or event permit can still apply. Arizona has no state overtime law, so the federal 40-hour weekly rule governs, which matters during a gem show stretch.
CGuardPro does not register anyone with AZDPS. It stores each officer’s registration and firearms dates and warns before they lapse. More on our Arizona page and in the Arizona licensing guide. This is a summary, not legal advice.
Tucson Security Software Questions
Can we staff gem show weeks without breaking our regular schedule?
Yes. Create the show sites as posts with their own shifts and post orders, assign officers alongside your permanent roster and see uncovered shifts before they start. When the shows close, end those shifts and the history stays on file for the vendor.
Does Tucson have its own security guard license?
We have not found a separate City of Tucson or Pima County guard license; registration comes from the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Confirm with the city, since business licenses or event permits may still apply to your company.
How do we keep track of four-year AZDPS registrations?
Put each registration and its expiry date on the officer profile. CGuardPro warns ahead of the date so the refresher training fits into the 90 days before renewal. It warns; it does not block scheduling.
How do we protect an officer alone on a yard in July?
Turn on lone-worker check-ins for that post. The officer confirms at set intervals and a missed check-in alerts the supervisor. The panic button in the guard app is there for the moment something goes wrong.
Can a produce warehouse see who came through the gate overnight?
Yes. Gate entries with plates read from a phone photo go into the visitor and vehicle log, and the client login shows that log, the tours and the incidents for that warehouse only.
