Security Guard Software
for Miami Companies

CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in Miami-Dade County: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, one plan with every feature, with a 7-day free trial. Miami guard work is concentrated in condo and office towers in Brickell, Downtown and Miami Beach, cruise and cargo logistics around PortMiami, the airport and Doral, hotels and nightlife, and big event weeks, with a bilingual workforce and a hurricane season to plan around.

What does guard work in Miami look like?

Condo towers and concierge desks

Residential towers in Brickell, Edgewater and Miami Beach run a front desk around the clock: guests, deliveries, contractors and valet. Residents can pre-authorize guests from the client app and send a QR code the officer scans.

Cruise days and cargo

Cruise terminals at PortMiami and the cargo warehouses around the airport and Doral run gate posts, dock control and yard patrols with a log of every truck and every round.

Bilingual by default

Officers, residents and building managers in Miami often work in Spanish. The guard app, reports and the client portal are available in Spanish as well as English.

Hotels and nightlife

South Beach hotels, clubs and restaurants want door posts, incident reports with photos that will hold up later, and a panic button that reaches your control room.

Event weeks

Art week in December, football at Hard Rock Stadium and basketball at Kaseya Center bring short, crowded rosters. Push-to-talk channels in the app keep the event team talking without renting radios.

Hurricane season

When a storm is coming, buildings want extra coverage before and after, and some officers cannot reach their post. Uncovered posts show on the board and the supervisor fills them from one screen.

What does Florida require of a guard company in Miami?

Licensing is statewide, through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing, under Chapter 493. The agency holds a Class B license; each unarmed officer holds a Class D license after a minimum of 40 hours of professional training at a licensed school, and armed officers add a Class G license with 28 hours of range and classroom training and 4 hours of firearms requalification every year. Officer licenses renew every two years; the agency license every three. The detail is in FDACS Division of Licensing materials and our Florida page.

These are state licenses, the same in Miami-Dade as in the Panhandle. With a large Class D workforce, the practical work is keeping track of who renews when.

CGuardPro does not issue or verify Florida licenses. It keeps each officer’s Class D or Class G dates on their profile with alerts before they lapse. See the Florida license guide.

Miami Security Software Questions

Can our condo desk officers work in Spanish while the board reads English?

Yes. The guard app, reports and the client portal are available in Spanish as well as English, so each person reads their own language.

How do residents let a guest in without calling the desk?

They create a pre-authorization in the client app and send the guest a QR code. The officer scans it on arrival, the entry is logged, and the resident can revoke it at any time.

What does CGuardPro do during a hurricane?

It does not forecast storms, but it shows which posts are uncovered when officers cannot get in, lets the supervisor extend the officer on duty or send someone else, and keeps every coverage decision on the record.

Can we track Class D and Class G renewals?

Yes. Each officer’s license dates sit on their profile, and license tracking alerts before they expire. It warns; it does not block scheduling.

Can a hotel or club see incidents from our door officers?

Give the client a login. They see incidents with photos, visitor logs and daily reports for their own property only, and the client app has an SOS button that reaches your control room.
