Security Guard Software
for Las Vegas Companies

CGuardPro is security guard management software for companies running posts in Las Vegas and Clark County: scheduling and relief coverage, GPS and selfie clock-in, QR or NFC guard tours, incident and daily activity reports and a client portal, in one web command center with guard, supervisor and client apps for iOS and Android. It costs $5 per user per month, with a 7-day free trial. Las Vegas contract work swings with the calendar, convention move-ins, stadium and arena nights, and a steady base of gated communities, apartments and construction sites, while Nevada adds work cards, a June 30 license date and daily overtime for lower-paid officers.

What does guard work in Las Vegas look like?

Convention move-in and teardown

The big shows bring booth-watch, dock and hall posts that appear for a week and disappear. Officers get the hall’s post orders on their phone, open shifts go to qualified officers, and the client follows coverage per hall.

Stadium, arena and Sphere nights

Allegiant Stadium, T-Mobile Arena, Sphere and the special events that close the Strip put large crews on for a single night. The roster is built for the date and torn down after it, without touching the weekly schedule.

Casinos staff their own, the rest is contract

The big resorts run large in-house security departments. Contract companies fill the edges: parking structures, retail, construction, offices, apartments and the events that resorts hand out.

Master-planned communities and HOAs

Summerlin, Henderson and the communities around the valley run gatehouses and roving patrols. Boards want vehicle logs, a monthly report and proof the overnight rover covered every gate.

Construction across the valley

Resort projects, warehouses and housing tracts need overnight tours with a photo at each checkpoint, so the contractor can see a fence line was walked, not just a car parked.

Heat as a scheduling problem

Summer afternoons on an exposed lot change how long an outdoor post should run and when to rotate officers. The schedule shows each officer’s hours, which is where to spot the 10- and 12-hour lines that trigger Nevada’s daily overtime for lower-paid officers.

What does Nevada require of a Las Vegas guard company?

The Nevada Private Investigators Licensing Board licenses guard companies statewide under NRS chapter 648. The company holds a private patrol license with a qualifying agent who has 10,000 hours of private patrol experience and passes the board’s exam, carries liability insurance of not less than $200,000 and puts its license number in every advertisement. Licenses and pocket cards expire on June 30 every year. Each employee is registered with the board for a work card; an armed work card adds 8 hours of training and at least 5 hours on the range, with requalification every six months.

Overtime is the other Nevada rule to plan for: the Labor Commissioner requires time and a half after 8 hours in a 24-hour period for employees paid less than one and a half times the minimum wage ($18.00 an hour since July 2024), as well as after 40 hours in a week.

CGuardPro keeps work cards and their dates on each officer and warns before they expire. Its overtime view is weekly; it does not calculate Nevada’s daily rule, so check 10- and 12-hour lines for officers under the $18.00 threshold. See our Nevada page and the Nevada license guide.

Las Vegas Security Software Questions

Does CGuardPro calculate Nevada daily overtime?

No. CGuardPro tracks hours against a weekly threshold and shows who is close to it while you schedule. Nevada also requires time and a half after 8 hours in 24 for officers paid under $18.00 an hour, so review 10- and 12-hour shifts for those officers yourself. The Gusto integration classifies hours by the federal weekly rule and California’s daily rules, not Nevada’s.

Can CGuardPro remind us about the June 30 license deadline?

It warns before the expiry date of any credential you record on an officer, including work cards. The company license itself is between you and the PILB; put its date in your calendar alongside the roster.

Can we staff a convention without a second system?

Yes. Create the show as its own site with posts per hall and dock, publish the shifts and let officers pick up open ones. Post orders are on the phone, the client sees coverage in the portal, and when the show ends you close the site and keep the history.

How do HOA boards see what the rover did?

Give the board or the community manager a client login. They see patrols with each checkpoint scan, incidents and the gate log for their community only, and you can send the monthly report from the same data.

Does push-to-talk work on a sold-out event night?

Push-to-talk channels run inside the guard app over the data connection, so they depend on the network. Venues that sell out stress every cellular network, so keep a fallback plan for the busiest hour and use the app channels for the rest of the shift.
